I am Sumeet Mishra, a Mumbai-based Software Developer. I want to begin by highlighting a phrase that resonates deeply with me, one that echoes the essence of Jeevanvidya: "life is coming from you, not at you." This thought underscores the significance of taking charge of one's life, acknowledging the influence of perception and engagement in shaping experiences. Such a mindset fosters empowerment, resilience, and proactive approaches towards life's ebbs and flows, all grounded in mindfulness.
My journey with Jeevanvidya commenced in February 2019, initially spurred by a persistent friend from NCC urging me to visit. Despite my initial reluctance, I finally embraced this opportunity in March 2023, and it became an incredibly enriching experience. Prior to this, my interest in neurology, the subconscious mind, and the profound influence of thoughts had already taken root through podcasts and readings, igniting a curiosity about the mind's ability to mold reality.
This transformative experience altered my outlook. It taught me that fear and negative thoughts are merely self-imposed limitations that hinder one's potential for achievement. Contrarily, a single positive thought possesses the power to redefine destiny, exemplifying the mantra, "you are what you've always been looking for."
Allow me to illustrate the impact of a positive mindset through a personal anecdote:
Despite grappling with consistently low marks in the past, I embarked on a journey to learn coding this year. Doubts lingered about employability and skill due to my academic history. However, the guiding wisdom from the profound Youth Mentor and Jeevanvidya’s Life Trustee Pralhad Pai (Dada) resonated profoundly – "Always believe it will happen. As you believe, so it will. " Embracing this mindset, I affirmed to myself, "it will happen because I've taken charge of it," accepting the reality.
Adopting this approach opened unforeseen doors, including my first paycheck in Dollars as a freelance developer. Unexpectedly contacted by Joshua, a hiring manager from a US-based company through LinkedIn, he offered an interview and subsequently entrusted me with their website development. This episode reaffirmed that we craft our opportunities and design our lives as we envision.
The profound lessons from Jeevanvidya have since become the cornerstone of my life. The ambiance, especially the prayer hall at Jeevanvidya Karjat Dnyanpeeth during night-time, evokes a serene and reflective atmosphere, fostering profound conversations about life and growth among friends. It's a fortress for personal and collective growth, an experience I passionately endorse.
Sharing my journey and insights is a privilege, and I sincerely hope others encounter Similar transformative potential of Jeevanvidya firsthand. I eagerly anticipate revisiting Jeevanvidya Karjat Dnyanpeeth soon to Embrace and gain more Knowledge they preach through different courses Conducted and put it into application in my Life of course accompanied by new found friends.
Warm regards,
Sumeet Mishra
