Every year, Jeevanvidya celebrates 16th April as Stree Sanman Din as it represents the birth anniversary of Sau Sharda Pai (fondly referred as Mai), wife of Satguru Shri Wamanrao Pai. This year as well, Jeevanvidya Mission celebrated the occasion at Vishnudas Bhave Sabhagruha, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
More than 1500 people came together to celebrate the women who contributed in extraordinarily propagating Jeevanvidya’s knowledge. The event began with Sangeet Jeevanvidya wherein women participated enthusiastically. The stage filled with women symbolized the unity and power of women.
Women including Madhura Shirodkar, Manisha Waghmare, Manik Palaskar, Swati Sandhanshi were awarded for their selfless contribution towards Jeevanvidya Mission while leading a professional life as well. Jeevanvidya also applauded the contributions and efforts of womens from the Security Team, Vishwaprarthana Team from Karad (representing Gharoghari Vishwaprarthana initiative of Jeevanvidya). Smita Suresh Gosavi was awarded with the prestigious Jeevanvidya Jeevangaurav Puraskar. After that, Malan Pai shared some great memories of Sharada Mai while highlighting her qualities like humbleness, positive attitude, satisfaction and tolerance.
Further, Youth Mentor, Pralhad Wamanrao Pai had an intriguing talk on the topic "Family Happiness, Relationships and Bonding (Kautumbik Saukhya). The topic was beautifully elucidated by various experiences which Pralhad Dada had encountered from thousands of counselling cases. He says, “Attainment of family happiness and bonding is a skill that can be achieved with the wisdom of Jeevanvidya.” This Kautumbik Saukhya asks for independence, personal space, adjustment and many more. The audience were enthralled by the speech. The event concluded on a very positive note by playing the Jeevanvidya 'Sphurti Geet'.
